2010-2015
Where Hotel Finance and Hotel IT come together
Statler BI was founded by Maarten Diepenmaat, who brings international Hotel IT expertise from Crown Plaza, Hilton and NH Hotels, while Stefan van Heerwaarden contributes deep hospitality finance experience from NH Hotels and independent Dutch hotels, alongside a professional background in accounting and financial advisory.
The first project is to automate P&L budgeting, forecasting and reporting in a SAAS platform. This process is generic for hotels worldwide, with USALI also being used as a basis.
2015-2020
Building the Foundation
With the launch of the Statler BI platform, it is clear that this basis forms a good starting point for further expansion of the product. For more reports, Belladati is linked as a database and BI tool. This is a major step towards linking PMS data for sending Daily Management Reports.
2021-2025
Scaling intelligence & control
Statler BI has been expanded with balance sheet budgeting and forecasting to provide insight into cash flow. The Daily Management Report was updated to include hours worked and purchases so that the two most important variable cost items can be managed: salary costs and purchasing costs.
There have been further developments with APIs for table reservation software, guest review software, etc.
The Optimizer was launched, allowing hotels to see how their KPIs are performing against the optimumm
2026 and beyond
The AI-driven future
AI projects have been launched to further improve hotel service, both in the SAAS platform for customers and in internal processes for onboarding customers.
